Liesel Badorrek

Liesel Badorrek is a writer, performer and director with more than 25 years experience in making theatre for young audiences. She is the founder and Artistic Director of Loose Canon Arts, a Sydney-based company which specialises in making original new work for children and families, including bespoke performance pieces for events and festivals. Liesel she has toured countless works for audiences aged from 3 - 18 through Australia, Asia and the Middle East over the last 14 years and also serves as Associate Director (Australia/New Zealand) for The Gruffalo, The Gruffalo’s Child, Room on the Broom and The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show.

Liesel was Associate Director for CDP of The 13-Storey Treehouse and Director of Guess How Much I Love You?, Magic Beach, Horrible Harriet, The 26-, 52- 78- and 91-Storey Treehouses.

Her credits for Opera Australia include El Kid, By The Light of The Moon (Librettist and Director), La Boheme (Assistant Director), and West Side Story (Assistant Director).
